Natural Turquoise
Treatment:  None
Turquoise occurs naturally in many shades of blue and green.  Blue shades result from the presence of copper, and iron is usually responsible for the green tones.   Inclusions of matrix (the rock in which the turquoise formed) sometimes add distinctive patches and veining patterns.

Sugilite
Sugilite is a rare ore mainly found in the Kalahari Desert in the Republic of South Africa.  It ranges from opaque to translucent in colors from pink to deep purple, often with inclusions of black (manganese) or blue (richterite).  Other names for sugilite are Royal Azel and Royal Lavulite.

Dumortierite
Shades of denim blue, from stone-washed to deep indigo, make this variety of quartz a natural for the casual look.
